Overview

Overview

Led the development of a mobile app to connect customers with private chefs for personal chef services and meal delivery. My role as product manager involved:

• Defining product strategy and vision through customer interviews, market research and competitive analysis
• Gatheringfunctional and non-functional requirements through stakeholder workshops and user persona development
• Creating product roadmap and prioritizing features based on business goals and customer needs
• Managing the development team, setting milestones and tracking progress

Solution

Solution

After conducting user interviews and surveys with potential customers, I found that the key requirements were a clean and intuitive app interface, fast and reliable chef matching, and robust profile features for both chefs and customers. Based on this research, I designed an app with:

  • A simple onboarding process for new users

  • An efficient search and filter options to match customers with chefs based on cuisine type, diet, and experience

  • Detailed chef and customer profiles showing verifications, reviews, ratings, menus, and scheduling availability

Results

After launching the minimum viable product, we gathered feedback from early users that helped us iterate and improve the app. Some key improvements included:

  • Implementing a chat feature for customers to directly communicate with chefs

  • Adding photo galleries to chef profiles to show sample meals

  • Incorporating a meal planning and calendar tool
